City Government Meetings Schedule and Current Agendas:

The City of Grover Beach encourages all residents and interested parties to participate in City government meetings. Your participation and presence are essential to good government!

      When: Sunday, March 14, 2010
      Reminder to Change Your Smoke Alarm Batteries: The Fire Department urges all citizens to change smoke alarm batteries when changing clocks forward each spring. This is one of the simplest and most effective ways to reduce tragic deaths and injuries. In fact, working smoke alarms nearly cut in half the risk of dying in a home fire. Additionally, it is recommended that you change smoke alarms every ten years.

    • Neighborhood Watch Meeting
      When: Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.
      Where: Grover Beach Fire Station, 701 Rockaway Avenue, Grover Beach
      Topic: CPR Certification Class
      Cost: $25.00 - Checks made payable to: "City of Grover Beach" (Please note "CPR Class" on your check.)

    • Co-Ed Adult Volleyball League - Join the 8th season of the Adult Co-Ed Volleyball League. Gather a team of 7 to 10 friends and register today. Don't have a team? Call us and we'll set you up with one.

    • Free Electronic Waste (E-Waste) Collection
      Dates/Times:
    • Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays; 12 Noon to 5:00 p.m.
    • Saturdays; 10:00 am to 5:00 p.m.
    • Location: Exploration Station, 867 Ramona Ave, Grover Beach

      The South County Family Educational and Cultural Center, also known as "the Exploration Station", has developed a program in cooperation with a private vendor to recycle electronic waste in an environmentally-friendly manner. Drop off your old electronics, including televisions, computers, monitors, printers, copiers, fax machines, DVDs, VCRs, and microwaves (working or not), but no large household appliances please.

      All proceeds go towards supporting programs for the Exploration Station, a non-profit children’s center. For more information, call (805) 473-1421 and ask for “Roger”.
