Item 2. Development Permit Application / Applicant – City of Grover Beach
The Planning Commission action on this item will be a recommendation to the City Council.
This Development Permit Application is a request to adopt a Climate Action Plan (CAP) and
a Negative Declaration. The CAP is a long-range plan to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
from City government operations and community activities within Grover Beach and prepare
for the anticipated effects of climate change. The CAP will also help achieve multiple community
goals such as lowering energy costs, reducing air pollution, supporting local economic development,
and improving public health and quality of life.
