Information on the City's ongoing efforts to improve street conditions through the Local Street Rehabilitation Program.

  • Local Streets - Selection and Funding - An overview on the City's local street improvement program and the Pavement Management System was presented to the City Council on September 26, 2006. On July 16, 2007, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 07-75 updating objective criteria to guide annual decisions for the selection of streets to be rehabilitated.

  • Financing Street Repairs - The City Council held a special workshop session on August 7, 2007 to discuss long-term funding and financing options to pay for much needed street repairs. A financial consultant outlined four financing options and discussed the merits of each.

  • On March 31, 2008, the City Council held a special workshop to discuss a long-term stragegy for the rehabilitation of local streets (utilizing data from the Pavement Management System and reviewing various options to finance street repairs), as well as a demonstration project for reduced pavement area and reduce future maintenance costs (narrowing Longbranch Avenue and Newport Avenue).

  • Street Improvement Projects This map was presented to the City Council on March 3, 2008 regarding all Local Street Improvements Projects completed since 1995 as well as proposed local street rehabiliation projects.
