  • Stage I Water Shortage Declared - As of June 1, 2007, the City has received only 44 percent of the anticipated normal rainfall for the season. This rainfall amount triggered the City Council's authorization of a Stage I alert on June 18, 2007 pursuant to the 2005 Urban Water Management Plan. With the declaration of a Stage I Water Shortage, our citizens are requested to voluntarily reduce water consumption. It’s important to be aware that the water supply for our residents, businesses, and new developments is in limited supply. Water conservation is the most cost-effective and environmentally sound way to reduce our demand for water.

    Here is a list of Water Conservation Tips available to help conserve water. Water conservation is the most cost-effective and environmentally sound way to reduce our demand for water. Applying these simple, common sense tips could reduce your monthly water bills by up to $20 to $40 per month, depending on such household characteristics as household size, yard size, number of cars or number of children in the household.

  • Permits By Fax The Building and Safety Program in the Community Development Department introduced a new system of permitting known as "Permits By Fax" for the following types of improvements: Water Heater replacements, Re-Roof with same or equal material, Electrical service replacement in the same location less than 200 amperes, Temporary power pole, and Window Replacement with opening not greater than 10 feet.

    This system is designed to help ease the permitting process by allowing contractors and homeowners the opportunity to submit construction applications via fax. This program will eliminate the need for multiple visits to City Hall to permit a "simple" project. Click Permit Form to download the Permit by Fax form in PDF format.   • Sign Lease Program at the South County Skate Park The City of Grover Beach Parks and Recreation Department is providing advertising sign space for lease at the South County Skate Park. Proceeds from sign revenue will go toward off setting staff costs at the Skate Park. Promote your business and help area youth have a safe, fun place to skate! Sign Lease Program - Application Form.

  • Auto Pay Utility Billing Comes to Grover Beach! Are you interested in signing up for automatic withdrawals from your savings or checking account for your water and sewer utility bill payments? Click Auto Pay Application Form to download the application form (you must download and print the form). For more information, contact the Administrative Services Department at (805) 473-4550.

  • Curb Marking Program - In the interest of public safety, the Grover Beach Police Department's Citizens Assistance Team launched a program last year to paint street numbers on curbs and berms in Grover Beach. Click Curb Marking Program for additional information.
