Major Street Rehabilitation Program
The street segments below have been prioritized in the five-year Capital Improvement Program. The future projects identified below represent over $10 million dollars of infrastructure reinvestment over the next five years.

Future Projects: CIP 2286: Major Street Rehabilitation West Grand Avenue Description: West Grand Avenue, 11th Street to Oak Park Boulevard; Full depth pavement rehabilitation Expected Construction Date: Fall 2024 Project Budget: $2,100,000
CIP 2287: West Grand Avenue Streetscape Description: West Grand Avenue, 4th Street to 8th Street; the completed project is expected to enhance the City's downtown core, slow traffic, and encourage pedestrian use of the area. Included in the design scope are new ADA corner ramps, storm drain improvements, landscaped center medians, pedestrian lighting, street furniture and pavement rehabilitation to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility. Expected Construction Date: Late Summer 2023
Past Projects: CIP 288: West Grand Avenue Enhancement, Phase 1 Description: West Grand Avenue, 2nd Street to 4th Street; landscaped center medians, landscaped intersections and parkways, decorative concrete sidewalks, street trees, lighting, benches, and decorative concrete crosswalks Completion Date: February 2011
CIP 385: West Grand Avenue Enhancement, Phase 2 Description: West Grand Avenue, 8th Street to 11th Street; landscaped center medians, landscape irrigation and lighting, decorative street lighting, street furniture, accessible corner ramps, sidewalk and street repairs, slurry sealing and striping. Completion Date: November 2013
CIP 2270: West Grand Avenue Enhancement, Phase 3 Description: West Grand Avenue, West of Highway 1; sidewalk, curb and gutter, decomposed granite walkway, landscape irrigation and lighting, decorative street lighting, accessible corner ramps, sidewalk and street repairs, slurry sealing and striping. Completion Date: December 2015
West Grand Avenue Street Re-Striping Project Description: West Grand Avenue, 4th Street to 8th Street and 11th Street and Oak Park Boulevard; new striped medians, vehicle lanes, bike lanes, and parking areas will be striped and green bike lane features Completion Date: November 2021 |

Past Projects: CIP 384: South 4th Street Reconstruction and Sewer System Installation Description: South 4th Street, Farroll Road to Highland Way; sewer system installation, street reconstruction, striping, including bike lanes. Completion Date: December 2010

Past Projects: CIP 2276: North Oak Park Boulevard Rehabilitation Project Description: North Oak Park Boulevard, West Grand Avenue to northern City limit; pavement rehabilitation and repair; concrete curb, gutter, cross-gutter, and sidewalk work; accessibility improvements; and water utility piping improvements Completion Date: February 2017
CIP 2283: Major Street Rehabilitation Grand Avenue and Oak Park Boulevard Intersection Description: Oak Park Boulevard and West Grand Avenue; rehabilitation of intersection Completion Date: August 2021 CIP 2284: Major Street Rehabilitation Oak Park Boulevard Description: South Oak Park Boulevard, West Grand Avenue to Mentone Avenue; street rehabilitation including replacement of curb, gutter, sidewalk, and curb ramps Completion Date: March 2022 |
