A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Wed, August 22 at 11 a.m. to mark the beginning of an expansion project at the Grover Beach train station. 

This grant-funded regional transportation project will expand the current Amtrak train station site to incorporate a bus passenger loading/unloading area and shelter along with adding 40 additional parking spaces and improving landscaping and accessibility on the site. 

This key priority project will enhance safety and convenience for travelers at the South County’s only train station with direct connections to San Luis Obispo along with Los Angeles and San Diego on the Pacific Surfliner train.
